Transportation and Agriculture Museum

The museum has a replica of the Gatling Aeroplane, designed and “flown” by local inventor James Henry Gatling in 1873.

Another view.  Notice where the pilot would sit in the middle. The fans on each side, human petal powered, provide lift over the wings.
